Rare Dutch progressive blues!!! BLUE EYED BLUES BAND An outfit from Haarlem, formed in 1975. Members included Oscar Benton (v, g, left soon), Rob ten Bokum (g, ex-Benton, to Vitesse), Aad Hooft (dr, ex-Benton), Rob van Donselaar (v, g, p, ex-Benton, to Vitesse), Tom Huissen (b, ex-John the Revelator and Hellhound). By the end of 1975, Oscar and Tom were succeeded by Terry Lee (v) and Andy de Jong (b) respectively, both ex-Big Rock Revival. Soon thereafter, Oscar Benton replaced Terry Lee, after which the band split up (in 1975).

The Buffoons from Enschede are, without a doubt, one of the best Dutch 'harmony' singing groups that have become popular particularly in the Eastern part of the country, like Geebros, and Honestmen. Audiences in England were impressed with their multi-part harmony singing, too, which led to touring over there as well. Since the mid-70s, their material was dominated by covers over originals. Various lineups of this group featured: Jack van Rossum (o,p, in 1975 to Sweet Lake and in 1977 - Lucy Steymel Band), Bob Luiten (bass, 1965-1975), Gerard van Tongeren (voc.), Maarten Assink (drums, not with the group 1970 to 1975, played in Liberty and with Rosa King during this period), Bjinse de Groot (o,p), Hilco ter Heide (voc.), Eli van Tongeren (guitar, voc.). From 1970 'til 1975, Boyd Brostowsky played drums. When Jack, Bob and Bjinse left the group in 1975, they were succeeded by Skippy van Rooy (o,p, ex-Galaxy Lin) and steel guitar player Don Biesbroek, who had worked with the group before.
